The EmbodyBirth™ Full Certification Educator Training asks us to seek for emotional intelligence in maternal care.

Introducing Maha...

Maha Al Musa has been the creator and founder of Embody Birth™ and BellydanceBirth® since 1997. Maha was born in Kuwait and kidnapped by her father from her mother in 1963 and brought to Australia a year later as a 2 year old. She was sent to boarding school at 4 and essentially motherless till she was 7. These early experiences and imprints have become the catalyst and inspiration for Maha's dedication to mothers and babies and underlies all her birthwork. It was through her own birth experiences that she realised the power of the sacred womb narrative and dedicated her life to truth. 

 She is an international, independent award-winning birth educator and mentor, the author of the award-winning book Dance Of The Womb endorsed by Dr Michel Odent, Sheila Kitzinger and Dr Sarah Buckley, as well as the producer of the award winning video series Dance Of The Womb endorsed by the Australian Doula College and NACE Australia.

Most importantly, she is the mother to three beautiful children – two sons and a daughter - all born as nature intended. Maha's daughter was born at home - a water lotus birth, when Maha was 46 in 2008.

Maha breastfed her to natural term for 8.5 years and was an extensive pioneer advocate in the worldwide media for public and natural term breastfeeding from 2012-2016. Her story and advocacy went viral several times.

She has also taught her in-person certification training from 2010 both internationally and within Australia, with extensive work in China from 2017-2019.

Now, in 2024, Maha being in her 60’s, brings her acclaimed EmbodyBirth™ certification educator training into the online space after years of global requests!

The goal in teaching the wisdom of EmbodyBirth™ is to elevate birth, where mothers and babies are the true birthing experts experiencing birth as a ceremonial initiation regardless of outcomes, and where unnecessary meddling, disrespect and interference is not a part of her narrative. We must be aware that the birth imprint experienced by babies translates as societal imprints and infuses the world with either love or fear states.   • We would like you to complete the FULL training and assessment within a 9 month period from purchase. Please plan on setting aside weekly time to watch the videos from both courses.

  • Because the Full Certification Educator Training is delivered via pre-recorded videos and due to different time zones, as well as busy lives, we understand that you may need an extension, so please reach out to Maha via email

    The certification will have a maximum time to complete of 11 months from date of purchase to receive certification.

  • Yes! Once you receive your certificate, you can share EmbodyBirth™ in any way that you like. We do ask that you always use the brands EmbodyBirth™ and BellydanceBirth® as well as Dance Of The Womb in your teachings, as well as displaying the branding logos. This will be addressed in the training.

    We encourage you to incorporate the EmbodyBirth™ teachings in your own offerings so you can share the wisdom and knowledge of this important birth education whilst respecting the brand and lineage. You have the freedom to add your own individual spice and voice to the teachings.

  • Yes, there is a $99 USD annual registration fee to keep your certification active, to be listed as an educator on Maha's website and to use the EmbodyBirth™ branding/ program.

    This can be paid via PayPal from 1st January, the year AFTER you complete the training
